The Watercolor Pantry was born out of two plates of Thai food, a best friend (Thanks Gina!) and a session of ridiculous brainstorming (oh and years of, “Why don’t you have a food blog??”). Well, sometimes you just need that extra little push from people who believe in you (and oodles of free time).
So here we are. At long last I christen thee, The Watercolor Pantry: Bite-size Illustrations and Recipes.
To celebrate here is my first watercolor for the site: the header image! It has all my favorite things in it. Okay, yes, that’s not really ALL of my favorite things. Just a smattering really because the header image would have continued ad infinitum.
So does anyone actually have a cookie jar still? Let’s just say the cookies never quite make it to the jar in this household. Next to cookies and chocolate (because chocolate, duh!), cookbooks are at the top of my list. Those are just a few of my favorite cookbooks since, let’s be honest, I am a cookbook addict. Does anyone else find themselves with an irrational desire to just possess the cookbooks, hold them, caress their delightful pages, etc., yet sadly doesn’t usually make it to the cooking stage? Anyone?? I know you’re out there!
Well, there you have it. Follow me here for bite-size foodie and farming watercolors, titillating recipes and stories, and other food/life-related excitement. Yay! And if you feel so inclined, say hello down there. 🙂
